Jobe's Wishlist of Everything

  • Terry's Chocolate Orange Bar

I will always hanker another Terry's Chocolate Orange.

  • King Priam (Opera DVD) - Michael Tippett

The DVD of Michael Tippett's 1962 Opera King Priam. If you can find a more genial price, have a sticker. Make sure it's a DVD and not an audio CD.

  • World Peace

This is a bit of a long term project, but if any of you could buy me some world peace that would be very nice.

  • Moleskine Plain Sketchbook

I'm not proud of it, but my friend is responsible for my addiction to Moleskine notebooks. I always appreciate a nice plain black or red notebook of any kind.

  • Killing Floor - Lee Child

I have never picked up a Lee Child book in my life. I've decided to judge the book by its cover, along with the reviews and overheard inquires I find on the internet and in W.H Smith of Jim Grant's latest book, so I ought to try reading them.

  • Turnage CD

Mark-Anthony Turnage is among my favourite composers. Like most "composers" his music is hard to listen to (I do actually listen to modern music, but seldom need to buy the music I like :3)

  • Bass Recorder

So far I have a soprano, treble and tenor recorder. I'd like to add to the collection and to be able to play the much deeper instrument, a bass recorder.

  • Bach's 2 & 3 part inventions

Admittedly, I can obtain these online but I'd quite like the lot in a book.

  • If on a Winter's Night a Traveler - Calvino

A book recommended by Tim, a friend of mine.

  • Howl's Moving Castle

Another Tim recommendation - a book and DVD

  • The Knot Garden (Libretto) - Michael Tippett

The Libretto of The Knot Garden - an Opera by Michael Tippett

  • Psalster (Any)

I have realized that I will need a book of Psalms set to music for every Sunday. I will get further details on the version the choir use.

  • Mini Edition Texts (Shakespeare)

LOOK AT THE LIL' BOOK. DAWWW. When I visited Stratford I couldn't resist buying King Henry the Fifthe and Macbeth in a miniture format... NOW I WANT THEM ALL

  • 3.5mm Splitter

I have a splitter for a 3.5mm jack already but I could always do with some more.

  • Another Musical Instrument

The Bodhran, violin & records are indeed fun. I think I'd rather like to learn something else. Shakuhachi? French Horn? Clarinet? One day, when I get the money...

  • To see Shostakovich's 7th Symphony: CBSO

Not one of my favourites, but as with all of Shostakovich and any composer I dislike, I cannot judge until I know everything about said composer/piece.

  • Binoculars

The symbol of wishlistr's "view your wishlist" is a pair of binoculars, so I thought to myself: "I'd love a pair of binoculars".

  • John Updike: Poetry Collection

I am familiar slightly with Updike, but not enough. I would like to explore his work further, and any collection of poetry would help me, and would be appreciated for a Christmas present.
