From Dyson, the makers of the high-end vacuum cleaners that never lose their suction, comes this spot cleaner formulated for heavy-duty spills on rugs and carpets. Dyzolv has four active agents that go to work on stains ranging from soil and grease to food and drinks. A dispersant cleans up soil-based spots while a solvent and detergent combine forces to mobilize and clean up oil-based stains. The fourth agent, another solvent, speeds up the cleaner's drying time on the carpet. Results are fairly instant as the instructions require spraying the spill and then immediately blotting it with a cloth. Dyzolv is safe for wool and stain-resistant carpets and is also pH neutral to maintain a healthy home. This single spray bottle contains 8.5 fluid ounces (250 ml) of cleaner. --Cristina Vaamonde

Worth the try, and little goes a long way!
Had old pet stains (residual throw up) and some other unknown stains, and this remover took them out without problems. I took an old sock and lightly scrubbed after spraying the cleaner on the stain to remove. I was concerned this cleaner wouldn't work on my area rug since it's not an expensive thick rug, and my stains had been there so long I planned on throwing the rug out, but it did it's worth the price in my opinion.

My problem is 2 big dogs who occasionally eat something iffy and hurl on the carpet, usually in the middle of the night so it has hours to set before I even see it. I tried Dyzolv based on the strong reviews and thought "what is this useless overpriced junk?" It worked OK, but only OK, and I had to spray and spray and spray until my fingers were sore just to get enough solution on the stain to make a pass. And one pass never made it, I had to go back and spray and spray etc. Not a problem solver.

Then I dug out an empty, rinsed out spray bottle that had contained glass cleaner or daily shower cleaner or something and put the Dysolv in it. With the robust spray from that squirt bottle, enough to get the nasty area good and wet, the Dysolv kicks hiney in just one pass. I'm liking it now, a lot.

Downside to this technique: once you dump the contents of the Dysolv bottle into a typical glass cleaner type squirt bottle you realize what a tiny bit of solution you're getting for your $whatever. It's pretty sad looking. I'm guessing the miserly spray metering on the Dysolv bottle is intended to make you think you've got a lot of cleaner in there. But to make this stuff work well and quickly, forget trying to conserve the liquid as the Dysolv bottle forces you to do. Get a good blast of the product onto the stain and you will be happy.

One last minor tidbit: I went to Wally World to get a plain, empty spray bottle to put the Dysolv into. A spray bottle full of glass cleaner was $0.01 cheaper than an empty spray bottle. Crazy? Yup. Don't spend too much for an empty plastic spray bottle.

You have to try this spot remover and the ZORBE action pellets as well. I do a quick pick up of the spot with cold water and then I spray on Dyzolv remover and let it set a second or two, Then sprinkle the Zorbe powder over it rub it around loosely and then cover with a towel. Your done with your part now let the magic begin, I let stay there on the spot for a day or 2 until I am sure it is dry, I break out my Animal Dyson vacuum and it picks up all of the yellow Zorbe and the spot just VANISHES. I have 2 cats and all of there hairballs also and am constantly doing this I am a pro, but the best part is they don't come back. you really need to try this, give it time on the spot and it will help you out soooo much. I have tried everything out there and they just don't do themselves justice and even tried Grandmas recipe to no go.

This stuff is unbelievable! We had some major stains in our carpet - in fact, so major I was embarrassed to invite people over because the stains were so bad. When I purchased my vacuum back in 2006, I received a bottle of dysolv and a package of zorb, which sat in the box until yesterday (2/4/2010). I finally broke out the dysolv and, quite impossibly, it really removed the stains.

My husband decided to fill some cracks in our cement with tar. During the summer, our dog stuck his paw in the soft tar and tracked in tar all over our oatmeal colored carpet. I tried gumsolv but that just spread the stain out further. I thought we would just have to replace the carpet. Let me tell you, it's GONE! It dissolved the tar and now my carpet looks great!!!

Yes, the pump on the spray bottle could work better, but I'm buying more of this stuff!!!

This cleaner is amazing on new carpet stains. During a recent furniture delivery, the delivery person got a dark, black, oily stain on our light beige carpet. We started spraying the Dyzolv on it within a couple of minutes, rubbed at it with a towel, and it disappeared. It took a lot of spraying, maybe about 1/8 of the bottle, but it was worth it to get the dark ugly stain out. We vacuumed over the spot after it dried and it is now like it never happened. It has also made food stains (like tomato sauce) disappear if we get to them quickly. I have not have the same success with older stains - we have some faint gray spots from general dirt and debris being tracked into the house, and it didn't make much of a difference on those. But I will always have this on hand for new spills.

Disappointed all around in the product.
    1-
2- The spray nozzle is the same type that is on the pump style hair spray. It has zero pressure, and you have to spray it at least 20 times to get the stain even a title wet. Since there is no pressure, it is impossible to get any liquid to saturate the stain, or get under the stain to help dissolve all of it. Not sure it matters though, since even the solution that does make it on the stain, did absolutely nothing to remove it. I tried it on new stains and old stains. Some were light, easy stains and others were more set in. No matter what I used it on, I saw no visible difference on any of the stains. I followed the directions on the bottle. I even tried repeating it and leaving it on longer. Nothing. I will stick with spot shot. This was a complete waste of 10.00.

My bottle arrived leaking all over the package. It was not sealed, so I lost a portion of the bottle as well as having the liquid all over the place when I opened it up. Usually items like this are sealed so this does not occur.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous spot cleaner

Our house is run by 3 moggies, two of whom have quite finicky tummies. Over the years I have used many pet-specific cleaners, including enzyme-based cleaners, with varying degrees of results and varying degrees of chemical smell. We received this item free at first, with the purchase of a new Dyson hoover. That bottle is nearly empty and have decided to order more since it is, hands down, the best spot cleaner I have used. It will pull cat sick out of a cream-coloured carpet with very little effort and zero smell. It has even worked on some really old, really ground in stains that I tried on a lark. Excellent stuff this and I will be making sure it's always in the cupboard, highly recommend.
