Adam's Favourite and in-demand Distilleries
Springbank, Arran, Bruichladdich/Port Charlotte, Glen Scotia, Ardnamurchan, Glenfarclas, Deanston, Edradour, Bunnahabhain, Spot (blue/yellow/green/red), Redbreast, Hibiki, Yamazaki, Nikka

Bols Corenwijn Jenever (100cl / 38%)
£39. Jenever is an old style of gin mainly created by the Dutch. Popular in cocktails in 1800s, it fell out of fashion, but is coming back. It tastes between a whisky and a modern gin.

Zuidam 5 Year Old Zeer Oude Genever (50cl / 38%)
£36. This is a slightly different style Jenever/Genever

Aberlour 2012 12YO Signatory Vintage Small Batch #9
£64. These vintage lines from Signatory are meant to be excellent. Aberlour is a typical speyside, will be wonderfully Christmas cakey

Edradour 2013 10 Year Old, SCAA Charity Bottling
£60. A bottle of treacle-looking Edradour and support the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance? Alright

Dalrymple 2011 13 Year Old, Thompson Bros
£69. I know nothing about this other than it's bottled by the Thompson Bros who usually get things right!

🥃 Maker's Mark 46 70cl
£35, usually around £30 on Black Friday etc. The "46" refers to the addition of wood staves in the barrel to add more wood flavours. This is currently my favourite bourbon

Wild Turkey Rare Breed, 70 cl
Damn good under £60! One of the best bourbons there is.

🥃 Springbank 10 years old (70cl, 46%)
Under £60 would be a good price. This is one of my favourites, cover a variety of sensations: sweet, sour, salty. You will really struggle to find it, but if you can, buy it

Secret Speyside (M) 201113 Year Old 100 Proof Edition #27 Signatory
£50. Apparently, M is Macallan. £50 for cask strength Macallan is incredible value for money

⭐ Glen Scotia 15 Year Old (70cl, 46%) ⭐
Another favourite. You might now find it for about £55-£65 Delicious stuff

Redbreast Lustau Edition (70cl / 46%)
£57. The Lustau edition from Redbreast highlights the use of sherry casks on the Irish spirit. This was finished in first-fill oloroso-sherry butts for a year, resulting in a creamy whisky with notes of liquorice, marzipan and dark fruits.

Old Pulteney 15 Year Old (70cl, 46%)
£58. It's a bit like Glen Scotia and Benromach - brine, muck, sweetness, minty. Quite a savoury flavour, interesting

Edradour 2014 10 Year Old Sherry Casks Signatory 70cl / 46%
£60. Edradour is a waxy, walnutty, fruity Christmas cake style whisky. The dark red colour is natural, imparted by good oak casks that held sherry. Perfect gift for a whisky enthusiast!

Benromach 15 Year Old (70cl, 43%)
£60. This has one of the mustiest, minty, lipsmackingly powerful flavours. It's a bit like being Tangoed by whisky!

⭐ GlenAllachie 15 Year Old (70cl, 46%) ⭐
£64. Mix of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry finishes. Had a sample of it, delicious!

⭐ Glenturret 12 Year Old ⭐
£65. Glenturret was the first whisky I bought in January 2016, and also a gift from Mel & Tim! They transformed their brand in 2020 and this bottle is meant to be outstanding compared to pre-2020 stuff. If you can't find 2020 maiden release, try 2021-22

⭐ Yoichi Single Malt (70cl, 45%) ⭐
£70-£75. This new Yoichi Single Malt (made of of whiskies of various ages) aims at representing this special distillery's direct-coal-heated, peated yet fruity style. Peat, smoke, spices, fresh fruit (melon, kiwi) and nuts (almond, walnut).

⭐ Glen Scotia Victoriana Cask Strength (70cl, 54.2%) ⭐
£72. A particularly heavy char profile, imparting plenty of rich, roasty-toasty notes

Glendronach Cask Strength Batch 11 (70cl / 59.8%)
£75. Cask strength Glendronach? Yes please!

⭐ Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old Cask Strength ⭐
About £75-77. Christmas cake in a dram

⭐ Ledaig 18 Year Old (70cl, 46.3%) ⭐
£79. Meant to be excellent, highly rated. Hearty phenols, smoky herbs, cracked black pepper and balancing waves of Sherry-soaked fruit

⭐ Deanston 12 Year Old 2008 Oloroso Cask Matured (70cl, 52.7%) ⭐
£80. Another aged in Oloroso sherry casks and from a distillery I really enjoy.

Aberlour A'Bunadh Batch 68 (70cl, 61.5%)
£80. Oloroso sherry cask matured, bloody delicious

Tamdhu Batch Strength (Batch 6) (70cl, 56.8%)
£80. Another cask strength sherried whisky matured in Oloroso sherry casks. Bloody delicious

Kavalan Bourbon Oak 70cl / 46%
About £80. Whisky from Taiwan, and verrrrry nice.

🥃 Redbreast 15 Year Old Single Pot Still Whisky, 70 cl
£86. Redbreast is made in the Jameson distillery, which as well as Jameson whisky, produces a huge variety of Irish whisky brands. "Buttery biscuit" is typically used to describe this whisky

Tomatin 2006 15 Year Old Moscatel Casks
£87. Sounds banging! This Moscatel Edition combines sweeter notes of marmalade and caramel with fresh citrus and spicy ginger and star anise.

⭐ Arran 18 Year Old 46% ⭐
£89.99. Big fan of Arran and this 18 year old was aged in sherry casks, meaning chocolate, fruit and spice flavours! Not many 18 year whiskys under £100 nowadays and this is meant to be stunning

Old Pulteney 2008 13 Year Old Sherry Cask Signatory 70cl / 55.5%
£108. Old Pulteney has a coastal salty fruity style that I really enjoy. I bet this independently bottled, cask strength version is amazing.

Caol Ila 2013 9 Year Old Sherry Finish Signatory for The Whisky Exchange
£110. I bet this is delicious

Yamazaki 12 Year Old (70cl, 43%)
£125. It's outrageously expensive because aged Japanese whisky stock is extremely stretched due to high demand. It's damn good. I treated myself to a bottle and it's easily in the list of top 10 things I put in my mouth, beat by the 18 yo at £800!!!

Kavalan Solist Vinho Cask #027A (2015)
£210. Aromas of vanilla, creme caramel, dark chocolate, honeydew melon and mango fill the nose, complemented by notes of kiwi, orange, black pepper, dark chocolate, plums, raspberries and red apples throughout the palate.

Redbreast 19 Year Old - Oloroso Sherry Cask - Exclusive TWE (70cl / 58.9%)
£250. Damn

Edradour 21 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Cask (70CL / 56.5% ABV)
£299. One can dream, right?

Clynelish 1993 29 Year Old Carn Mor Exclusive to The Whisky Exchange
£775. Maybe when I become Harvey Specter
