  • Aluminum Steam Pans and Lids

Full or Hals sizes with lids please. You can buy them in bulk at Sam's Club or separately at GFS and Meijer's.

  • Frozen Waffles

This is one of the few brands sold in this quantity and they carry it at Sam's Club. It takes 2 large box of 60 to feed one breakfast at the shelter.

  • Grand's Honey Butter Biscuits

These are the frozen kind found in the freezer aisle, not the ones next to the cheese and yogurt. We make at least 140 biscuits each time we serve. Honey butter flavor works the best, I tried a few other versions and they came out pretty dry.

  • 15lb of Pork Bacon

This and the scrambled eggs take the most time each morning for us to cook at the shelter. We use 15 pounds of bacon each time we serve. I normally get a 15 pound box at Restaurant Depot but GFS and Sam's sells boxes of pork bacon as well.

  • Oscar Meyer Turkey Bacon

Our volunteer that eats turkey bacon only says this is a good brand. Sam's club sells it a pack of three and we use one pack when we serve bacon at the shelter.

  • Hand or Immersion Mixer

We scramble anywhere from 10-15 dozen eggs for our monthly breakfast meal service, depending on the time of the year. If you have an extra hand mixer you would like to donate, LYN can take it off your hands!

  • Paper Towels

We go through almost 2 rolls of paper towels each time we are at the shelter.

  • Banquet Brown 'N Serve Turkey Sausage Links

Anytime we serve pork sausage we also provide turkey for those that don't eat pork products. We only prepare 3 boxes of the turkey at each meal service day and they are usually on sale at either Walmart or Kroger's for really cheap.

  • Banquet Brown 'N Serve Sausage Links

This particular brand is both cheap and taste good. They come in the bag size that has 39 pieces or boxes with 10 links a box. We use about 6 bags or 24 boxes each time we serve breakfast. Be careful to get the original flavor, not maple.

  • Freezer Bags

Gallon or Quart size, and freezer bags not storage please.

  • Thermal Oven Mitts

The ones with the thermal lining are best. The ones at the shelter are horrible and we need some to leave there and to keep with our stuff to use on the days LYN comes to serve.

  • Salad Dressing

We normally take Ranch and Italian with us - those two seem to be the most popular, especially Ranch. We normally use 2 bottles of each at a given meal service day.

  • Peanut Butter and Jelly

Large containers of smooth peanut butter and grape jelly goes over best at the shelter.

  • Hashbrown Potatoes (Shredded or Patties)

When getting these, I either buy about 100 of the patties or when its shredded in the bag, about 10-12 bags (depending how many services are in a bag) to cover one meal service day.

  • Powdered Lemonade Mix

There is no particular type that the men at the shelter seem to prefer. I usually get the canister of CountryTime because one 82.5 size tube is all I need to have enough for one meal service.

  • Farm Rich - French Toast Sticks

This particular brand seems to go over very well at the shelter, we never have leftovers when we use the Farm Rich brand. Its sold at Sam's Club and it usually takes between 4-6 boxes to have enough for one monthly meal service.

  • Quaker Grits Quick 5 Minutes (24 oz. tube)

Please buy the canister size and not the individual packages - we serve anywhere from 80-125 men, that's a lot of individual packs! One canister is usually enough for one meal service day.

  • Sunny D Drink Mix

Please buy in the gallon size. It takes between 6-10 gallons to provide enough drinks for one monthly meal service, depending on the time of the year. Less in the summer months, more in the winter. Please get either Tangy Original or Fruit Punch
