Posted November 17, 2016 in Updates

Just in time for 🎄🎅🏽 we’ve done some plumbing work to fully support a wider range of characters in the title and description of your items on Wishlistr – including all your favorite emojis 😎.

So don’t be shy, go ahead and express your self! 👌🏽

Block from following

Posted February 21, 2015 in Updates

We just released the first step towards better privacy controls on Wishlistr – the ability to block other users from following you.

You can block users from their profile page by clicking the gear icon (to the right of the “Wishlist” button). This will open a menu where you have the option to block the user. Blocking a user means that the user won’t be able to follow you on Wishlistr. It also means the user won’t be able to view your profile or wishlist while logged in. If you block a user that is already following you, that user will be removed from your followers list.

As said, this is a first small enhancement to the privacy controls on Wishlistr, and we plan to do more during the year. Let us know what’s important for you!

Reserve items

Posted November 17, 2013 in Updates

When sending out your list to an extended number of people you sometimes run the risk of getting duplicate gifts. Today we’re happy to release a new feature that will solve this. Friends and family can now mark items on your list as “reserved”, if they have bought (or are planning to buy) a specific item on your list. Once someone reserves an item, others will immediately be able to see who’s planning on giving that item and can easily avoid buying the same thing.

You can enable this new feature from the settings page

With this feature enabled you won’t see any of the reservations yourself when you edit your list. And if you try to sneak peek at them on your public list we will try to warn you first before displaying anything (hey, we don’t want to spoil the surprise!).

Try it out and let us know what you think.
